This past weekend, Stuart’s parents took Reid and Oliver to the lake for a camping trip and we stayed home alone! It was fun to relive our pre-parenthood life a bit. We were originally planning to refinish the hardwood floors in our living/dining room (something we have imagined to be nearly impossible with the little ones around) but we had a few other meetings and projects that left us without enough time for the floors.
We were sure to get a date night in, going to a restaurant I’d been dying to go to for ages.
We did squeeze in a few house projects: finally deciding on and installing some new light fixtures, repainting our sun room (bye bye sharpie mural), picked up a fresh new Ikea slipcover for our white couch, and identifying the next few projects on our list. We have been in a bit of a slump house project-wise, but we are anticipating putting the house on the market in the next year, so we are happy to have a renewed sense of inspiration to get some repairs and upgrades completed!
We also started our group 24 Day Challenge this weekend! It is so fun to open the pantry and see our His and Hers cleanse boxes (and if you look closely, you can see Stu’s starting weight – he is already down a couple pounds and it is Day 5 for us)… It is going well so far – we are loving doing it together and having the incredible support of the Facebook group that I created with some friends. We have over 60 people who have joined us, with more being added all the time. People are posting recipes, work out plans, their results so far, etc, and it really has become an amazing community for support. Let me know if you are interested, and I’d be happy to send you more information and add you to our wonderful group.
