I am finding inspiration all over these days. The new year has felt so fresh to me! So wonderful! I found the idea of 100 golden nos recently and it is so good I have to share it.
This idea was the heart of my asking for the volunteer position I mentioned a few posts ago, and the update is that I asked for it and I got it. I attended training this past weekend and the whole time I was there, I kept thinking about how differently I would feel if I had not asked for the position. Instead, I felt excited (and so did the people I will be working with!) and was able to network with important people.
I think this idea will be priceless to me in my job as well. I work from home, part time, in sales. I make no money unless I receive a yes from a customer. The cliche is totally true – sales is 100% a numbers game, and you need to get face time with as many customers as possible to get those sales! I thrive as a salesperson, but sometimes I am crippled by fear and anxiety. I can only assume that the fear is of hearing NO. Having a goal of 100 nos to reach this year gives me a reward for approaching the customer no matter what the result.
